Development Process:
A two phase process was used:
Phase 1: Needs Assessment Phase – Interviews were held with women who had the experience of incontinence and had accessed support from health care professionals; and, interviews with health care providers who specialize in the area of incontinence. |
Phase 2: Pilot Test/Feedback Phase – Draft decision guide was reviewed by a group of 25 Nurse Continence Advisors in Ontario. Feedback was gathered through a structured survey. Additionally, the draft decision was reviewed by 13 women with or without experience of incontinence. Feedback was gathered through a similar structured survey. |
